Patina of the Harbour Front
Taking a moment at the West Kowloon waterfront, near M+. The way the warm sunlight is beginning to add a new 'patina' to the rough granite riprap against the structured concrete paving is incredibly satisfying. Like good leather, well-considered infrastructure and materials get better with time. The simple geometry here provides a functional and tactile connection to the dynamic Hong Kong skyline across the water.
