A ceiling full of lanterns
Walked in, looked up, and forgot what I came for. Dozens of ribbed-glass lanterns hanging at different heights from a dark bronze frame, all glowing that same soft amber against a teal ceiling. The scattered rhythm of it — no two rows quite aligned — is what makes it feel alive rather than just decorative. There's something very Chinese about the composition: the lantern shape, the lattice frames, the layered timber screens below. But the execution is completely modern. It's the kind of lighting design that turns a lobby into a destination. Shot handheld, wide, from directly underneath. Tilted the phone until the beams cut diagonally across the frame — that one small move is what gave it depth. #lightingdesign #interiordesign
