Stopped on a footbridge on the way through an industrial stretch and realised I'd never actually looked at this river before. Just crossed it. It's a nullah, technically — straightened, lined, built to move stormwater fast and get out of the way. But the tide was in, the wind was putting texture on the surface, and the estates and trees on either side were doing their best to pretend this was a canal somewhere in Europe. Old-school Hong Kong colours too: salmon-pink towers, faded concrete, a lot of green that nobody planted on purpose. It's never going to be scenic in the brochure sense. Doesn't mean it isn't worth a photo. #hongkongphotography #discoverhongkong #urbanlandscape #riverside
